Hi everybody! 

Today I took charge of mom's computer again, while she's working.  The house is toooooo quiet!  However I'm enjoying my "me times".  While on the computer I check out my 2 favorite blogs, SBG and Mr. H's.  Tucker, you need one to tell us how your keeping your sisters in line.  After all, you did save their lives from that enormous boa constrictor that escape the amazon to take over our backyards!  I think that there is enough to get your own blog.  :)

Yesturday was a busy day, dad did some cement patching in our basement, for some reason I wasn't allowed around the wet cement...but I wanted to leave a little paw print like sissy did on the sidewalk...mom calls that the forever sissy print.  Mom did a lot of house work to get ahead for the week, she thinks it's going to be a hard week at work for getting back into a routine.  Thatt's a cafeteria lifestyle for you...but she likes it.

I'm going to get going...need to lay by my door, I'm waiting for pap to come...he should be here soon!!

Ahhhh...there it is!!  It's official!! The Firedogs have made their own blog!!

We are in the works of making plans to get together the next time we go to camp, I can't wait to meet the boys!! 

Now all we need to do is get Mr. Tucker to create his very own blog too.  I heard he needs to "earn" his blog by being good for 7 days straight.  You can do it tucker, just keep your nose covered!!

Fashion Show

Mom found some shirts and got some brainy ideas!!  One thing  you don't do with my mom, don't give her time or she'll think to much!!

At first I didn't like the shirt, but after about 10 minutes I didn't mind it. I'm told I have more, and sweaters to keep me warm in the winter time....I just hope she doesn't come with any booties!!

Mom's going back to work

This morning I was awakened by a lot of noises.  Here it was mom getting ready for work...she got up at 6:45 to leave for work at 7:30..her start time was 8:00.

I asked her what she was doing up so early....normally I'm the one getting her up, not a radio alarm clock.  She said she has to go to work today for the 7th grade orientation day....she works in a high school cafeteria.

She left for work....I was lost without her.  So I watched tv and turned on animal planet.  I think that dog whisperer was on...he's fruity!!  Soon the door opened...it was pap!!  He came to let me go out and do my business and play with me!!  Yippeeee!!!

Ended up mom came home and I didn't even miss her...I was ok and didn't get into any kind of trouble.  Maybe next time I'll give the firedogs a call and help them out making their blog.  Sounds like a plan to me!

A day of rest

Hey everybody!!

Today is a day of rest for me...after the post graduation party, one has to rest.  I had some steak for supper last night...mom makes the best steaks ever!!

I spent most of the morning hanging out at home alone...as mom calls it.. "me time".  Mom get a haircut this morning followed by a dentist appointment...she wasn't looking forward to the drilling.  Hopefully I will never have to go through that.

By the way...I was at my groomer yesturday, I got my bath and a haircut...mom was helping  After I was done being blow dried someone was knocking on the door.  Here this man came down with a very sick cat and this cat was loaded with fleas.  Mom grabbed me and off home we went.  I felt bad for the cat, but mom didn't want me to get whatever illness the cat had, or have the fleas jump over on me.  I'm so happy for a protective mom, always looking out for the best.

Cant wait for the new season of NCIS to start, and Dancing with the stars!!  A couple more weeks to go!

I graduated!!

Tonight I graduated...1 out of 3 classes are complete....I'm getting there!! 

Tonight we took our test one at a time.  we had to do loose leash walking through the aisles, but we had to make stops and do our sit with stays for at least 30 seconds...did that, followed by lay and stay....not a problem.  Whoohoo!!

My intermediate classes start Septemtber 6th, so I have a week off to enjoy. 

Sorry so short, I'm still tired from yesturday's fun at Mary's!!

Hey everybody!!  Boy did I have an eventful weekend. 

We went to our camp in Potter County for the weekend.  I went for walks and rides, we made steaks on the firepit, and went for ice cream for desert.

The best part of this weekend was going to Gma Mary and Gpa Philip. We got there around 11 this morning and soon my sister Samantha came with her mom and dad...they are from Mt. Joy (Lancaster area). We played as if we never separated...and all the rules i have at home...didn't really exitst to me, I have was having a ball just playing, runing, jumping, wrestling with Samantha.  But soon came Violet...she's 10 weeks old.  All I can say, she kicked our little cocker butts!!  Watch out Mary...she's going to be the ruler of the mob!

Gma Mary made everbody lunch that was really good...followed by awesome peach pie.  Everybody was sharing Abby and Samantha stories, turns out we're really not that different.

After Lunch we all went for a walk through Gpa Philip's gardens.  There Samantha and I just ran and chased each other running through the hosta's.  We must have ran 3 miles non stop.

But then it came to that time, we had to say our good byes.  I hated to leave, but I know we'll have another get together again soon!

Mom was driving home, and before we even left the driveway...I was out like a light!! 

We were one pup short, wish Mr. H could have been there!  Don't worry Mr. H, it will happen one day.

Keeping Cool

Today mom brought out a sprinkler for me to play in.  At first I didnt know what to make of it, but then I felt the cool water...ahhhh refreshing!!  After playing and carrying my stick around, mom gave me a bath.

The weekend I'm going to Gma Mary and Gpa Philip.  My sister Sammie is coming to, I can't wait to see her.  Also, I'm going to teach violet how to be a spoiled little princess of the mob.

Mr H., you have to make your way to PA soon!!

Class Night #7

Tonight was Class 7 of 8, and it went very well.  We had to demonstrate what we_'ve learned...and if you know me I like going first.  Well tonight I had to wait to go last.  First there was a schnauzer, she won't sit..and that is the first thing we learned at class 1.  Next was a little white dog, she was able to do all things that were learned but it took awhile.  Then there was Zoey (some for big beagle), she wouldn't lay.

The time has come, it was my turn to show off.  I love showing off, especially when it's something I'm good at...teehee.  Anyways, mom took me to the middle of the room, dropped my leash, did the sit command, I sat.  Then she did the stay command and I stayed, then she did the lay command and I layed down, then she told me "up" and I sat up...she put her hand down signaling me to give her my left paw...I did, then she wanted my right paw..gave that...then I got my treat.  We got applauded for our actions and that made mom very happy.  She's been working with me everynight and different times through ou the day.

After we did that, we all had to go out in the store and do our commands out there with distractions.  I was able to do with no problems.  Then we headed over to the treat isle....Oh boy is my nose ever sniffing!!  At first I didn't want to listen but then I soon knew it was business.  We had to do the sit, lay command follow by stay for about 30 seconds.  Not a problem in the world for me.  Once we got through this, we were done for the night.

Oh and one more thing...the commands are not vocal....it's all hand signals, which is cool.  That way if I ever go deaf, at least I'd be able to resond.

After we were done with class, we headed over to the Garchinsky's.  Mom has friends that live close to Petsmart...actually closer than what she thought.  Mom and Janet met in college at Lehigh County Community College, they both played on the volleyball team...she told me about the tough loss of state finals.  Anyways, they've been friends for over 17 years now.  Almost 11 years ago, Janet got married and mom was their wedding.  They get together as much as they can, they gone skiing in the past, and a couple of years ago they introduced her to kayaking.

Once we got to Janet and Chris's house, we were greeted by their dogs chilly and twister...then I got to meet Carly, she's their 1 1/2 old daughter....soon meeting Maria who is 2 months old.  I wanted to play with chilly and twister but they didn't want to....I think they were afraid of me.  Well soon we were on the road.  Here we went to DairyQueen....YUMMO"S!!  I had vanilla ice creajm....now that hit the spot!!  After I was done eating ice cream, I got very curious in all these ducks that were around.  They were swimming in the creek, but you could feed them corn!!  Mom would have taken me up to the ducks, but there were people there and she didn't want to cause a fuss...so I just watched them very closely.

Thank you for all of our concnerns and thoughtfullness last week.  Mom is better, she's not shaking anymore....she didn't shake until we got home...think it's because it all hit her at that moment.

Abby Dabby Dooooo!!!!!

I was bad

Hey Everybody!

Well, I was bad last night, I ended up going  to the animal emergency room. 

Last night was such nice tempetures to have windows open...breeze coming in, just wonderful.  Mom had to go outside about 8:45 PM and was out for about 15 minutes.  While she was outside this bottle came down on the floor.  I investigated it.  While investigating this bottle, it was rattling...I had to get whatever it was.  So I chewed the bottle open and got the little white candy out.  

 When mom she came back in she seen a pill bottle laying on the floor chewed opened and found no candy.  She looked at the bottle and it was her predisone medication...mom hollared for dad to come and he ask her how many I have eaten.  Mom wrote on the calendar what she was supposed to take that day, she was to take 4 for 3 days, 3 for 3 days, 2 for 3 days, 1 for 3 days...well she took a total of 30 and the quanity on the bottle said 40....so I had 10 at 10mg.

Mom went online and googled dog ate predisone and read some info quick as she was calling the emergency center...she can multitask quite well.  What she read and what the emergency center told her to do was the same.  Now's it's 9:05 PM

Mom made me an egg quick and I ate it as usual.  Then it was followed up with some hydrogen perioxide....that stuff was bubbly inside me ....soon all my food came up, including my supper from earlier that night.  Mom being relieved, called back to ER like she was told to, they recommended me to come up and get flushed out with charcoal.  So thats what we did.  It took about an hour and half to get there, another 45 minutes or so I think I would have been close to gma mary's place.  We were just outside of Williamsport.

We got to ER around 11:00, they did bloodwork, they did the charcoal...that will absorb anything else that was left in me...which they don't think any was in me with mom's quick action and a whole bunch of fluid.  The doctor said if he were prescribing me this medication he'd be giving me 20mg for my size, I had taken 100mg, but with mom giving me the hydrogen peroxide....maybe just maybe I had 20mg left.,..so the charcoal absorbed the last 20mg. 

My bloodwork came back everything was good! 

We got back home around 2 am.  I was hungry but mom didn't give me any food except water, water, water. 

Mom takes 75% of the blame for this, something that shouldn't have been done.  But I got the last 25%  because I shouldn't be chewing everything that hits the floor.

I"m good, feeling good as if this never happened.  No worries...thanks to mom's quick actions....but one thing, she never panic, just went through the motions quickly and efficiently.  Thanks mom!!

Class Night #6

I know to spend mom and dad's money

First of all, I have to set the record straight.  Mom was thinking next Monday August 16th was our last day of class, but it's not.  My last nigh of class is the 23rd...so that's my graduation night.  So break out the porterhouse steaks when we get home, that is if I'm not to tired from my post graduation party! 

As you can see, I found the receipt that mom was looking for yesturday.  I just sat there with it saying Look what I have!!  Of course here comes that camera...so I did that pose I really didn't mean to take it, it just happened.

When I  was brought home, instead of mom having a crate, she bought me my very own house!  At first I didn't like it, but it became my safe haven after awhile...especially when kids would pest me.  They are not allowed in my house and I know that!!  In my house I have a Flatscreen 3D HD TV hanging on my wall...I look really cool with the 3D glasses on, I have a hot tub outside...a full kitchen featuring marble countertops, stainless steel smudgefree appliances............hey I can dream too!!  However I do have my own computer as you can see....(winking at Tucker).

Mom got an email yesturday from Gma Mary.  She said my sister Sammie is going to visit them and let her play with Violet, Ranger and if Rabbit is still there.  Gma said if we're around we should stop in...and we will be, we'll be passing through on our way home from camp.  I can't wait.  Sammie and I were very good buds while waiting for our families to come get us.

And of course...this was brought to my attention last night and I enjoyed seeing it.  This is me and Mr. H's mom.  You can see Mr H's blog at http://www.mrhreportsfromtheroad.blogspot.com/  He's trying his best to make up with his mom, his nose seemed to get him into some trouble last week.  I'm hoping your making progress!!

We had a busy week again...I just can't believe I had my picture taken with Mr. Ryan Pelton....ok, time to come off of cloud 9 and get back to business.

  I had class #6 this past Monday night, we had to do a demonstration on what we've learned.  When it came to me to preform....I was a star!!  I did my sit, stay, lay, come sit combo, come sit lay combo...it was a breeze!!  Mom was so proud of me, we even got applauded for our teamwork!  I do have to admi  Mom makes it easy since she works with me every night.

As you can see, mom's planning a pond and is trying to find her pond design...she found it.  Now it's to make it real, which probaby won't happen till next year.

This weekend mom and I have a lot of things planned.  There's a guy coming tomorrow to steam clean our carpets and we're house cleaning our basement.  There's just to much stuff here and it's gotta go!!  Once we're done with the basement, we're moving upstairs and house cleaning there...again to much stuff.  We're going to have a yard sale sometime...according to mom, not soon enough!!  Don't worry, there will not be a price tag stuck on me!!
