Hey everybody!!
I don't know about the rest of you, but it was sure hot these couple of days. On moms truck while driving it should 105!! That is nuts!!
Because of the heat wave, there were no adventures. But, they are calling for cooler temps this week. So stay tuned!

We've been working on our bakery website and posting info on Facebook about it too. Mom figures she might as well announce it since it was in the paper for filing a fictitious name.
The bone that I'm chewing on is called a Mega Bone....and it's good!! When mom gives it to me, I go running off with it.
Mr H....I know your having computer problems, but please forgive mom for not getting the post in earlier. She was having problems uploading pictures to my blog....it took about an hour just to upload these 2!

1st anniverary!!!!!
Hey Everybody!!
It just came to mom's mind about 5 minutes ago that my blog was started last July....but wasn't sure of the date. So she looked back and found my first post was on July 17th. We may be 3 days late, but we never thought of announcing our 1st anniversary until now.
Thank you for coming to my blog and reading all about my adventures.....and lately you were able to watch me in little video postpaws. The turn out of the blog was never thought of to be what it is today. We're heading on 13,000 hits.....in my mind that's pretty paw good!
There's so much more to come, and I have to tell you this....it's just a hard life. I have a blog, soon a bakery, a home that I don't have to lift a paw to, and amazing, amazing friends.......I can't ask for more, because I have it.

A heartwarming hug goes out to all my friends in SBG Family Crew. Seeing it all come together and formed what it did, has no words to explain it, just pawsome! Kim.....you were my first contact and all went from there. Jodi.....love "deviling" (now I have Josie on my side) you and seeing sexy Boomie, one day it will be Boomer and Abby's playdate. Jerra, what can I say....your a hoot!! Glad you found us. Thank you goes to Kathy from the Florida 4 on getting my info and being there for therapy dog training. Kevin and Marsha are now our camp friends along with the Fab 4....Brinkley, your not out of the picture just yet :)

Last but not least.....Mary and Philip. You guys created a family you didn't know was going to happen. This all went way beyond litter mates to 1 mob of a family. Its amazing to see people come together because of you. The reunion proved it to me this past June, we never met each other until the reunion.....but it was like we all knew each other because of Facebook, your blog, Mr Hs blog and the firedogs blog.

Gma Mary's Ear Solution
I've been warned by Mr. H that soon the HB patrols will be knocking on my door.
So here's the recipe that Gma Mary gave me to help with Abby's ears. They are doing very well since I started using this.
The ingredients you'll need are white vinegar, powdered boric acid, isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), and Betadine antiseptic solution. Generic versions of the Betadine are known as Povidone-Iodine, and those are fine, too. Just be sure not to use "Betadine Scrub", which is Betadine with a detergent added. What you want is "Betadine Solution" or generic "Povidone-Iodine Solution".
The first time we looked for the boric acid and the Betadine, we had no clue where to find it... but our local Pharmacist was happy to point us in the right direction. They used to keep boric acid in stock out in the pharmacy section of drug stores and you could buy it "over the counter". Recently, it's gotten a little harder to get after the regulations got tightened regarding selling it... since boric acid can be used to manufacture illegal drugs. These days, you usually won't find it just sitting out on the shelf of your local drug store. You usually do have to ask the pharmacist for it.
You'll also need an empty bottle to store your ear cleaning solution in, and from which you will squirt the solution in to your dog's ear. We recommend use of a plastic bottle with a long applicator snout, and with markings on the outside that show fluid levels in ounces. This makes it very easy to measure the ingredients as you pour them in to the bottle. A great place to find these is at beauty supply stores, as they are commonly used for hair-coloring solutions.
Here are the directions for mixing the solution together. Be sure to follow them in the order listed... I'll spare you the explanation of the chemistry involved, but trust me... to get the boric acid to dissolve properly, you need to do it exactly like this:
Pour six ounces of isopropyl alcohol in to your applicator bottle. (This is where those ounce measuring lines on the outside of the bottle really come in handy.) Next, add one and a half teaspoons of boric acid powder. An easy way to do that is to measure the powder, dump it on to a piece of paper, fold the paper in half and use the paper as a funnel to get the powder in to the plastic applicator bottle. Be careful not to get any boric acid on your skin or clothing. If you do, wash it off immediately.
Shake the solution up really well, until the boric acid powder is fully dissolved. Next, add two ounces of white vinegar. Shake it up some more. Finally, add one teaspoon of the generic Betadine antiseptic, and shake it some more. The solution should take on coloring similar to ice tea. Be careful not to get any of the Betadine on your skin or clothing. If you do, wash it off immediately.
That's it! You're ready to move on to the hardest part now... getting your Cocker to let you squirt this stuff inside the ear canal.
One thing to keep in mind is that the ear cleaner contains Betadine, which is orange-colored and will stain carpet, furniture, etc. So, you should apply the ear cleaner to your dog outdoors or in your garage or in your bathtub... somewhere where nothing important can get stained when the dog shakes his head and the ear cleaning solution is flung in to the air.

My "ears" update
Hey everybody!!
This post is a big thank you to Gma Mary, Connie, and Kathy of the Florida 4.
About 1 1/2 weeks ago I went to see a specialist about my ear infection. Tests showed I have bateria in both, but the left one was really really bad. My ear was just about shut, you could not see down at all.
The specialist just want to cut right away, mom said no.
Mom talked to Gma Mary to see what she thought....Gma Mary sent mom a recipe and we started using it.
My right ear is healed up, no hook coming out at all, all nice and clean after using the product for about 5 days.
Mom was cleaning my left ear last night and all I heard was, "doug, come here and look at this and tell me what you see". Dad came over and checked it out witha "I'll be damned, you can see her canal". And there's no hook coming out of that war anymore, they are now both clean ears!!
So all is working with the recipe Gma Mary forwarded to us. Thanks Gma!! High paw five!!

Hey Everybody
I just saw Mr. H's Blog and he seems to be showing his "stern" side. With a look like that, I think he's showing his serious side of the business.

Mom has started looking through the therapy training book for me, she sees no problem so far. She's been reading parts that are just meant for her, there's alot of good info there.

Mom's not happy with Walmart......

Hey Everybody!! Mom was at Walmart this morning and she came home very very upset. She got pictures made for Lebanon Fair and they gave her a very hard time. She said she felt like she was interrogated by Gibbs on NCIS. The guy actually shredded the one photo and then mom lost it. She said "These are all my photos, I took them, I have a Canon Rebel T1i and it's an amazing camera if you KNOW how to use it" I tell you what.....mom's devil horns were out and the pitchfork was in her hand during this time. They replaced the photo that he shredded at no charge and had mom sign papers stating all photos were hers and not a professional photographers work. This morning mom met with the accountant and filled papers out for a fictious name.
After she got home she checked in with Mr. H's mom, they were waiting on a load to hit the road. Not long after that she got a text they were going past the 80/81 split. Im still upset that i didnt get to see everybody.....but i think mom is bummed out a bit that she didnt get togetther with Kim..........and mom informed me that we were invited to the firedogs camp, but the peices just wouldnt fall right.......Next time!!
But this afternoon we napped.....mom had a detailing job that was comimg around 7..... and mom wants to give it back ASAP, its our local ambulance.

Hey Everybody!!
I'm very upset with my mom. Mr H and a picnic with Boomer......can you believe it, I wasn't there!! I don't care what the reason was.......I SHOULD have been there. I threatened to tail hitchhike the next time there's a picnic and I don't go.
And to top it off.......mom has slacked off so bad updating my blog. This is sooooooo uncalled for, not ONLY do I miss the picnic, my blog isn't updated!! I programmed HB (MR H and Mrs B) patrols in my paw phone just in case this happens again.
As for the picnic.....i'm so happy to see it happened. Boomer, Mr H, Mrs. B, Molly and Rusty had a perfect day at the park. The weather was perfect, you couldn't ask for anything better.

Doggie Bakery in my valley??.......
You read right! There will be a doggie bakery here in my valley. The name will be Abby PAWsteries Doggie Bakery. Opening date is still unknown, but it will be soon.
Where are we with it....for the most part I'd say we're about 1/2 way. We met with the zoning officer and it's a go. My treats are at the lab getting tested, it's a requirement for the department of agriculture for the label. Once we get the results, we'll go ahead with filling out papers to get the license from dept of ag. Just a lot of steps to be completed, and we want to do this right from the very beginning.
We also met with our accountant about state taxes and a name. I think we'll be meeting with them next week.
We are going to start out small and as it progresses, we'll add more different treats to our menu.
There will be photos later when everything's a go....but for right now, so hang tight my friends, you'll be the first to know.....probably even before mom knows.

Hey Everybody!!
Mom had a busy morning today. She had mulch delivered this morning about 9 AM, I'd say about 10:00 she went out and started working before it got to hot. I stayed in where it was cool.......thanks PPL Electric Company!
Anyways.....I'm very proud of how everything looks now, I know it bothered mom too seeing it the way it was. She said it just looks clean now and the weeds won't be so bad. When she was done spreading the mulch where it needed to be, she got "MY" sprinkler out and soaked it down good. She said if you do this, when it dries it gets hard preventing the bad stuff from growing up.....or at least slowing it down. Plus over at the driveway she was able to make a little retaining wall, that way when it rains it won't wash down the driveway......she's been doing that for years. She packs it in really hard while it wet.
She bought some flowers last night, they were on sale. She said they will make it if you water and feed them......that's all it takes, then they will be over flowing with blooms. She wasn't in the mood to do any kind of flowers around the house this year, but yesturday she just changed her mind.
