Busy Sunday Morning......

Looks good mom...High Paw Five!!

Mom and Gma Mary like the outer banks.  She completely agrees with what the flag says.....

She bought these flowers last night, the pot she got in Cherokee NC in 2006

Looks good out here too!

Awesome job!!

She bought these flowers last night too....they were on sale, mom said a little water and care, they'll be over flowing with blooms

My favorite place to walk in and around....

Hey Everybody!!

Mom had a busy morning today.  She had mulch delivered this morning about 9 AM, I'd say about 10:00 she went out and started working before it got to hot.  I stayed in where it was cool.......thanks PPL Electric Company!

Anyways.....I'm very proud of how everything looks now, I know it bothered mom too seeing it the way it was.  She said it just looks clean now and the weeds won't be so bad.  When she was done spreading the mulch where it needed to be, she got "MY" sprinkler out and soaked it down good.  She said if you do this, when it dries it gets hard preventing the bad stuff from growing up.....or at least slowing it down.  Plus over at the driveway she was able to make a little retaining wall, that way when it rains it won't wash down the driveway......she's been doing that for years.  She packs it in really hard while it wet.

She bought some flowers last night, they were on sale.  She said they will make it if you water and feed them......that's all it takes, then they will be over flowing with blooms.  She wasn't in the mood to do any kind of flowers around the house this year, but yesturday she just changed her mind.

So until next time.....High Paw Five

Hi Sis,
Your mom did a GREAT job and your lawn looks AWESOME!! My mom wasw out with the weedeater this morning and then she was spraying weed killer and she was tired! Dad was really nice and let her get a pizza for supper. Now she has the sprinklers going and you can see who is not out playing in them. There was no breeze here today and it felt warmer than the last 2 days when it really was hotter but there was a wind. Mom said she wanted us to stay away from the places where she sprayed the weed killer. And we can't go out and play tomorrow because it's the day that we get our Frontline put on and we have to wait 2 days for a bath so she's not going to let us get wet! Lucky you getting to play in the water!! Have fun tomorrow!! LOL Mr. H:)

Wow....Angie you did an amazing job. No self respecting weed stands a chance now. Watch out for those sneaky ones! With all our gardens, Philip planted a lot of varities (you've seen them) of grown cover. Now he only worries about his Hosta garden. Seeds are beginning now. Collecting colinbines now. Foxgove next followed by lupine. He's Philip vs the birds!
