Hey Everybody!!

Mom did something out of the ordinary this morning.  She got up at 5:15 am this morning...that is not like her!  Well, soon she comes in a very familiar looking uniform......this is not good!!

Mom had to go back to work this morning, she was telling me this for about a week now, but I thought she was bluffing.  She's a good bluffer especially when it comes to me taking my medication.  So....I spent the day by myself.  At last!!  I had some peace and quiet for a good nap time.

Soon it was time for mom to come home.  I was laying at the kitchen door waiting patiently, when she came in I just ran in circles around the rooms....I was happy and I told mom no more!  Well, can you believe she said she's going back tomorrow?  Hmph.....

We went for a walk tonight, we walked past some cheerleaders practicing yelling.....well I needed to show them I can cheer right at them!  All I have to say to that is...that's what you get mom!

We then made our way across a softball field...my nose made me dart and run to the left and I picked up a bone!!  Mom thought it was a stick at first and said only abby....then she noticed it was a bone!  You pryed it out of my mouth...let me tell you, I jumped up and got it back and ran ( I was on a leash) and mom told me to leave it...well I only clamped on it harder.  She pryed my mouth open again and got it out and held it up past her head this time and put it in garage can near by.  Well i jumped up at the garage can..that's when mom said we're going home.  All I have to say to that is....that's what you get mom!!

So while walking back off the softball field I kept turning back to go get the bone, mom told me to forget about it.  Can you believe her!!  I think she's loosing it since she's gone back to work!!

We made our way back  past the cheerleaders...again I had to make myself known by being vocal.  Mom said Abby...we're going home.  All I have to say to that is....that's what you get mom!!

Candle lit for Gma Mary.....

Hey Everybody

Tonight mom and I lit a candle in our office in memory of Gma Mary.  We miss seeing her online to see what she has to say.  Mom will miss hearing her words of wisdom and advice on taking care of me.  But I think mom has it pretty well under control and is doing a good job of it. 

Mom is happy she got to talk to her last month, and one of the things Mary said to her is that she was very proud of her and what she has done with me.  But mom never thought saying bye that day was going to be the last time.

Through Mary, a new family was born last year.  Mom and Mr H's mom manage to gather 40 some SBG cocker owners onto Facebook, and some aren't on Facebook so they communicate by email.  Mom needs to find out how many are not on Facebook to get a total amount.  The group has been slowly growing.....and it's a unique family of friends, one of a kind.

Thank you Gma, we all love you, miss you, but will never forget you.

Gma Mary will be missed....

Today is a sad day...Gma Mary has passed away.  She has gone to be with our Father, but on her way she was greeted by all of her beloved cockers at the Rainbow Bridge.  Can you imagine all them ears perking up after hearing a familiar voice from  a distance......and then seeing Mary walking towards them in the meadow.  I can just see all of them getting up and running full force, tails wagging, with a giant leap to be the first to lick Mary's face followed by a ton of cocker kisses, hugs, prancing around as happy as can be.

You will be missed and always loved.

Hey Everybody!!

Today at camp the firedogs came to visit.....yippeeee!!  I played a little bit with Matty, but the ones who played the most was mom and Brinkley.   He just loved mom's laser light, he was chasing that light a whole afternoon long.

Sparky was a good little boy, he told me to post saying that when his mom and dad say he's bad, they are  only bluffing.

Jasper, well Jasper's Jasper.  He just kept an eye on them treats that were floating around here all day.

For lunch mom made bbq and corn on the cob.  Now the corn on the cob she made different.  Normally she boils water and then puts them in.  Not this time!!  Instead she soaked up about 3 paper towels, put them in the bottom of the pot and put the corn in and covered the pot with a lid for about 20 minutes.  They were really really good!!

I was sitting with Kevin for awhile, he kept telling me how cute I am and how I was supposed to go home with them and mom and dad would have the boys!!  Can you imagine such a thing1!

There will be a high paw five video posted probably tomorrow night after all the dust is settled.

Mom and I are packing for the playdate with those famous firedogs!  I can't wait, I think we're all going to be laid back except for that Sparky.  I heard he's been eyeing my ears up already. 

I have my grooming tools packed (like always), my toys, my ear solution....mom almost forgot to put that in until I told her about it.  And most importantly....Kevin,  listen up on this one!!  Most importantly mom's camera is already in the truck and batteries charged!

Praying for Gma Mary

Hey Everybody

I have my most favorite gma in my prayers today, she needs as many as she can get.  Gma is the one who chosed my mom and dad when they requested me....I thank her every morning when I get up from a good nights  rest, and thank her every night for an enjoyable day with mom and dad.

Gma Mary has given my mom alot of good advice on my ears.......honestly if it wasn't for her, I don't know where we'd be with the condition, but they are just about all healed up.  But mom is happy she got to talk to Mary last month, they talked for almost an hour.

There was a poem made last winter and I want to share it with all you: 

Puppy Love

I remember the very first time

I opened up my eyes

Grandma Mary picked me up

And comforted my sighs



I wagged my tail and licked her face

And licked and licked some more

Then she put me on her lap

That’s what grandma laps are for



I was born a cocker spaniel

I’m not an ordinary pup

I am loved much more than most

When grandma picks me up



I kiss her face, I chase her feet

I yap and play all night

And when I’m scared, I cry for her

She makes me feel alright



A puppy’s life is hard, you know

There are lots of things to do

I eat and sleep and chew on things

And then I’ve gotta poo



I can’t say how blessed I am

So I just wag my tail

Hey Everybody!!!B

I got my grooming today and dont I just look spiffy!!  I'm ready for my playdate with the firedogs this weekend.  Hopefully there will be lots of pictures....you know our moms, I don't think that's a problem in that department.

But....I overheard mom and dad talking and I just could not believe what my ears were hearing.  Dad said about swaping me for Brinkley!  Can you believe it!!  But mom said no swapping, we'd just bring the "Brinkman" along home.  

Mom....just drop the dognapping idea, Marsha will be upset loosing Brinkley just like you would be on loosing me.

Hey Everybody!!

Today I'm officially announcing we are open for business!!  Abby's PAWsteries Doggie Bakery is now in full swing.  Right now the treat selection is limited, but we'll add more as the bakery progresses.

I have a website.  http://www.abbyspawsteries.com/  Mom worked hard at it, there's still some touch up that mom needs to fix up.....she'll do that tomorrow.  She did all the banking today setting this up.  Also....we are registered with Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.  That's what we've been waiting on.  All our treats are lab tested and good to go!!

So....take a look around on the site...there's a lot of good info there and our plan is listed there as well.

Mom has been busy housecleaning upstairs, theres alot being pitched out.  She came qcross some of sissy's stuff....that sh held onto, couldnt give up on them yet.

This weekend we are going to camp, and..........we have a playdate with the firedogs!!  I cwnt wait!!  Im going for my grooming on wednesday, so ill be all spifted up!!
